Outreach

The Future Propulsion and Power CDT is fully involved in outreach activities for a variety of target audiences

Public Open Days

The Whittle Lab holds an Open Day as part of the Cambridge Science Festival. We give the public the chance to see some of the exciting jet engine and gas turbine experiments we do at the Whittle Laboratory. You can join us for activities that show how turbo-machines work and tours of our laboratories, including the chance to see one of the first steam-turbine engines.

While this number is slowly increasing, the Centre for Doctoral Training in Future Propulsion and Power has decided to take a leading role in promoting women in leadership roles in aero-related sciences.
