In September 2020, His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales gave the opening address to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Turbo Expo conference, the largest annual conference on the subject of flight and land-based power generation. In his message, the Prince reiterated how Whittle Laboratory research and the new National Centre are key in accelerating the development of zero-carbon flight and power.
